Staying safe on random video chat
NextFace moderates every video session and is 18+ only — but talking to strangers always calls for common sense. A few habits keep it fun and safe.
Protect your personal information
- Don't share your real full name, address, workplace, school, or phone number.
- Never give out financial details — card numbers, bank info, crypto wallets, or gift cards.
- Be careful about what's visible in your background or reflected in the room.
Watch for scams and manipulation
- Be skeptical of anyone asking for money, "help," or to move to another app fast.
- Romance and investment scams often start friendly and patient. Slow down.
- Don't click links strangers send, and don't install anything they ask you to.
You're always in control
- You can leave any chat instantly — hit Stop or press Esc.
- Use Report if someone breaks the rules; it helps us ban bad actors.
- If something feels off, trust your gut and move on. There's always another person.
Keep it legal and respectful
NextFace is for adults only. Nudity, sexual content, harassment, and anything illegal are not allowed and are grounds for an immediate ban. Treat people the way you'd want to be treated — see our terms for the full rules.
Protecting minors
This service is strictly 18+. If you believe a minor is using NextFace, stop the chat and contact us at hello@nextface.app so we can act. If you ever encounter content that exploits a child, report it to your local authorities and, in the US, to the NCMEC CyberTipline.
